Well, that's ingenious! .... I wouldn't have thought of adding a veneer this way - I've been wanting to make faux driftwood lately, and I can see this is the way to go. Thank you so much Cindy and Doug for another brilliant (not to mention clear and well-explained as usual) tutorial! This has to be the best website ever!!!!!

MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm last palette of Winter!

A striking set of tawny, toasty colours and just right for my man-type new collection teamed with gold, silver and copper. (Still in the doodle stage)

You give us all so much inspiration Cindy and by giving away your B series we all thank you for the hard work and thought that goes in putting each one together.

Now trying to guess what the first Spring pallette will be? Every month of the year means a different set of colours to me so roll on those new pale green shoots of Spring...........Cheersxx

CONGRATULATIONS Marlene! That is so cool! I am so proud to hear you have had so much success with the peacock cane. Who knows, maybe this contract will develop into a whole new business for you? Maybe other events as well? I am really happy for you!

When Cindy finished this 2 part tutorial, I was ready to go. Had the "eye" done and was ready for the "feathers". As soon as my cane was finished I put slices on a votive candle holder and was thrilled with the look and proudly set it on a table in my family room. Several people have since commented on it, and said I should add it to my website. So I did, thinking someone might want one.
I was wrong. Two days after I listed it, an event planner e-mailed me that she wanted 250 of them for an event in April! Guess what I will be doing for the next month and a half!!! THANK YOU CINDY!

As a color person - I'm glad winter is almost over. I love you new colors!!! Speaking of Pantone -this is an ORANGE year - it happens every 10 years. This is my fav color so I keep track. So the Oak colors is right down my alley ........teehee. I don't sell anything, so any color is great with me. But others, may feel differently. Catalina said it well "what ever Cindy offers - WE WILL BE THERE". I do enjoy the pantone Colors, but I'm in for the long run. So everything you show is wonderful!!!!!
Thanks to the whole Leitz Team -for EVERYTHING. Yeah ...........ta - dah....................;}
